ASU’s EWB Chapter is currently in correspondence with EWB National as to if this should be a concern for our approved Implementation trip this December. Are there any EWB chapters with upcoming trips that have thoughts on the issue?

Personally, I would go. There is a potential element of risk involved of course but I don’t think it is alarming enough to postpone your trip. Our team is travelling within the next 30 days and I can let you know what their reaction is.

Well, EWB NNJ has a project in Kipingi. We’re scheduled to drill in January 2012. We’re going with Sparr drilling (http://www.sparr.co.ke/) The cost they quoted us for the whole drilling project is $13, 240 which is much less than the driller we were initially going to go with, JB drilling, who quoted us $19,737. In addition to JB being costly, they were very slow to respond and behaved as if they had bigger fish to fry
We sent Sparr an email asking how much they would cost and we sent them the proposed well diagrams etc. I can send you their full quotation if you want to have a lookThanks Maryanne,

There are two options as of yet.
1. Email me asking for authoring privileges. Then log in to the dashboard and click on the media link on the left hand side. From there upload the files you want and link to them through a group.
2. Go to the group page. On the left hand side there is a ”DOCS” link > then create new doc. This functionality is similar to google docs in which you would cut and paste the body of the document into the browser.

Most docs I want to upload are already formatted, so it would be great to have authoring privileges so that they can just be downloaded. My e-mail is joseph.thiel@msu.montana.edu.

EWB Forum Group: 10 months, 3 weeks ago · ViewWe have started to assemble a list of existing Western Kenyan wells. Our project which is 10 miles west of Migori has 2 hand pumps on site. We have also obtained a hydrogeo report that has data on a couple other wells in the area. On top of this we are in contact with the Kenyan Government and should be getting more information soon.
Can people provide me with any information they may have on existing wells? Location, flow rates, type, etc…
Once people start sending me informatin I will compile the data into one document and post it on this site as a reference.

Our chapter has visited several well locations in Western Kenya. (Nyanza district)
However, since, we didn’t end up pursuing one for an EWB project, I don’t know if we have any technical data aside from water test results as well as locations.
I’m not familiar with the types of wells, could you please give examples for that?

This way all of your questions and all of the answers to those questions will show up in future search results.
