In the early 70s, there were no quality restaurants in Mombasa, Kenyan-born Chris Seex who was managing a resort Hotel at the time had a dream to create Africa's finest seafood restaurant. He designed the Mombasa Tamarind. With high arches and a crenelated roof, the elegant white building is a throwback to a bygone Arab era with the perfect setting.
